Respect for Law

Law Enforcement Recognition

While in our club this is not technically a youth service program, it is certainly a community action program.  Southern Jefferson County law enforcement offices are contacted and asked to nominate a law enforcement professional to be recognized for outstanding service.  The nominees attend a special luncheon with our club and receive recognition from their superior officer.
Our Optimist Purposes:

  • to inspire respect for law
  • to develop Optimism as a philosophy of life
  • to promote an active interest in government and civic affairs
  • to promote patriotism and friendship among all people
  • to aid and encourage the development of youth
